* Mura=village, Cho=town

1897 : Start immigration
1899 : Open railway between Asahikawa-Wassamu
1909 : Railway accident at Shiokari pass (Mr. Nagano was sacrificed.)
1915 : Separate from Kenbuchi-Mura
1921 : Shiokari-Onsen was discovered by a cow.
1952 : Change to Wassamu-cho from Wassamu-Mura
1966 : Start a series of a novel of "Shiokari Pass"
